Petal Certified businesses must complete all required criteria and the minimum number of optional criteria for each category.
Petal Project standards were developed by program staff with input from economic development organizations, Iowa DNR pollution prevention professionals, and assistance from the San Francisco Green Business program coordinator. Project criteria are reviewed regularly to incorporate new resources or innovations available to Iowa businesses. The Petal Project staff are working with a variety of pilot businesses to gather input and feedback on the criteria and process.
